Ok, deep breath:
If
The tower of Babel was a star gate, and some of the people of this earth who built it were quarantined here, (oh, let's say for blowing a certain planet to bits which, according to Bode's Law, are still orbiting in that resonance space) and if those people were survivors of a huge solar system war that blew up said planet I could see where the science to build and create a sympathetic resonator to transit through a hyperdimensional gate would be possible. Yes, it would have to be big for the power needs, and it would also have to create a big and stable enough portal for it to be used. Another name for portal is Gate:
Strangely enough, this is reflected further south in the legends of the Maya and Aztecs, and also in Mesopotamia, where the very name Bab-El or Babylon means literally, “door” or “gate of the gods.”

Now if you happened to be from say the winning side of that war and could go on and off planet because you had surviving technology that the people on the planet didn't, and you didn't want them to have the liberty of getting off the planet because they would just start another war, You'd just destroy that "tower" right?
This tower is known in almost ALL traditions as an eight stepped Ziggurat - or pyramid. Sort of like the ones in south America in its size.
If this 'Tower' gets taken down along with all who built it, then many small things at once can accomplish this feat and not be found while being built out in plain sight of everybody. Those who think they know 'the correct' science will mistake it for being too small and those who don't know the science will not even see it for what it is.
Better yet, why not turn the planet you live on into one giant hyperdimensional manipulation machine? If you look around at prediluvian ruins on the planet it is obvious that the extent of the builders was worldwide. It is obvious also to those who can see that there is:
- arithmetic and hyper-dimensional properties embodied in these structures — and their placement on the globe — that point to a purpose beyond mere memorialization of certain aspects of physics, but to a purpose that suggests they were designed to manipulate and engineer it.

If we look we can understand that at these old monumental megalithic sites lay along a prime meridian that has them aligned with the Giza Complex. When looked at deeply it can also be understood that these sites were much more than just monuments. They encoded hyperdimensional physics in their placement and their proportions. This also calls to mind the extremely old tech that takes a certain genetic profile to activate the seeming piece of …"stone". It seems reasonable that there are:
-…some kind of function for such monuments beyond enshrining certain measures and astronomical alignments. They are strongly suggestive of an underlying technological purpose and meaning; they suggest we are looking at cogs in a vast machine.

- Michell remarks: modern man is living not only in the midst of a vast ruin of planetary extent, he was also living inside a vast ruined machine of planetary extent, a machine to manipulate “something.”

The point is, that since the early 1900's (and probably way before in secret societies) we had begun the actual brining to 'light' of the real science behind this science, the real math, the real physics of the quantum medium and the ability to manipulate it in any fashion we desired. (actually, this has been in development for eons.) The history and lore of which Joseph P Farrell brings to light with such eloquence:
Another comment is perhaps warranted by this discussion. It is to be noted that Marduk “measures the structure of the Deep” after Tiamat’s destruction. This would have been necessary in terms of the type of physics being suggested, since the destruction of a planetary-sized body in the approximate orbit of the asteroid belt would have required an adjustment to astronomical measurements of the solar system, since its previously existing celestial mechanics and geometry has been shattered.102 To summarize what is being argued in the Cosmic War context, we have the following:

If civilization were ever to return to a similar state of development with access to that physics once again, of necessity that civilization would have to be global in extent, and this could only be achieved through the gradual re-establishment of global trade, which in turn depended on accurate, uniform, and consistent units of measure, which in turn could only be established by “measuring the structure of the Deep,” and this is precisely what we have seen happened in the Megalithic measures.
b. If the technology that made such fearsome weapons possible were ever to be reconstructed, again, this would require accurate measures of “the structure of the Deep.” Thus, we are perhaps in the presence of two hidden long-term agendas, and very possibly in the presence of two elites with vastly different long-term objectives, with one elite wanting to restore the same level of civilization as existed before the war, and the other wanting to reestablish the fearsome technologies that made that war possible, and thereby to restore, or claim, its own hegemony. At the minimum, then, the Megalithic measures and their self-evident propagation by a hidden elite — as Knight and Butler have shown — is a demonstration of the first agenda. As we shall discover in the coming pages, however, there is ample evidence to suggest that another elite is at work for purposes that are not so benign. And this brings us back to Sumeria, and the suggestions of that deeper physics.

Another explanation… (there) could be an undetected ‘third party’ influence, very discreet, very secretive and of very great antiquity. Such an influence — perhaps the long-lived and highly motivated society that referred to its initiates in ancient Egypt as the ‘Followers of Horus’ — does seem immensely improbable. In the 19th century alone this small partial list of scientists and their work should illustrate that we not only have recovered this science, but that we are actually engineering it and using it.

The Kaluza -Klein Theory that unifies gravity and electromagnetism by the introduction of a new spatial dimension: time, thus uniting Einstein's theory of gravity with Maxwell's theory of light by introducing the fifth dimension; four dimensions of space and one dimension of time. Kaluza assumed that light is a disturbance caused by the rippling of this higher dimension.

Tesla's: ideas on standing waves (longitudinal waves ) in the medium and that the fabric of space time acts like a fluid to solid bodies and a solid to light and heat (1)

When you add this all up it equates to: We can now do anything we like to the physical medium - space, energy, the planet, the sun, life and life force, and us - all of us - body/ /mind/emotions/spirit.
How and why you ask? Well, because this physics is the actual statement and engineerable benchmark that: all really is energy and frequency. Learn to measure and reproduce that energy, alter it, play around with it, tap into the zero point field, and everything is possible, anything is engineerable and thusly able to be made and used.
Now whether this is right or not at this juncture of our development is a moot point, because it already exists. Being one that really does know that there are benevolent forces out there keeping an eye on this extreme game being played called earth, I am pretty sure that no grand carnage will be allowed to occur. However, just like the ancient failed machinery of the megalithic world, the ruins of which we live and breathe in, and the attempt to be sneaky about its machinery back then, once again, we: the muggles are being used in a last ditch attempt to alter the physical medium by using the force of our minds and hearts to get us all humming in one direction and thusly creating the exact effect the oldsters want. Sneakier still, instead of using the planet they are using the life force of the planet.
So when you hear things like a 'sun-burp' or ascension flash - beware, be wary, be very aware: the technology exists to actually create a sun burp. It is not a thing that will happen 'just because'. It will be created. The reason the idea exists in all surviving ancient myth folklore and ancient texts is because the plan is actually that old (think ancient psy-op).
Why else would you put that much time and energy into something unless it would take such a strong manipulation of persons? How else would expect to get an entire planet of people to accept their death, unless you made it an idea as old as time and proved it by leaving behind clues throughout time. Why else would we march like good little sheep to our demise?
It might have worked for me too - except that now that I know we have the engineered physics in hand to create such things and know that there are psychopaths that mad that walk the earth, there isn't a snowball's chance in hell that I'm going to swallow this one whole without questioning the complete, entire, riot.
